There is a pressing need to ensure that all women can avail of institutional delivery in place of the highly unsafe domiciliary delivery modes. Moreover, vaccines need to be given to all children and newer vaccines introduced rapidly. The increasing quantum of diabetes, cardiovascular, mental and cancer patients show clearly that preventive healthcare strategies need to be used in a more effective manner.Today, people are aware that there is career scope for non-medical graduates in the healthcare sector.
